The Risk Manager reports to the Programme Manager. Our current programme includes projects in design, implementation, and handover phases. As many projects transition into implementation, the post holder will provide specialist risk management advice and support to Project Managers, with exposure to mobilizing projects and delivering construction on an operational military site.

The Risk Manager will facilitate and advise on the identification, management, and mitigation of risks and opportunities to ensure successful delivery of capital infrastructure projects. They will provide risk management guidance to project managers to lead, manage, and deliver projects effectively, achieving desired outputs.

Driving license and own transport are beneficial as travel to various sites in West Central Scotland will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Accountable for all aspects of Programme Risk Management.
• Set the direction for managing Risks, Issues, and Assumptions across the Programme.
• Ensure consistency of Risks, Issues, and Assumption information across projects.
• Produce programme risk analytics to support decision-making on affordability, deliverability, approvals, and recovery.
• Collaborate with Project Delivery Teams to develop QSRA models linked to the Programme Master Schedule via Programme Network Risk Analysis.
• Generate risk data, direct changes to risk methodology at project level, liaise with external organizations, and initiate risk audits.
• Continuously improve systems and processes by incorporating lessons learned into risk management practices.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience delivering projects under NEC contracts in a Risk Management role.
• Experience managing programme risk in complex operational environments.
• Experience managing risks at the Programme level.
• Understanding of collaborative working environments.
• Cost and Schedule risk management experience.
• Development and delivery of QSRA and QCRA models.
• Minimum 5-7 years of risk management experience on major infrastructure programmes or projects.
• Risk analysis and modeling capabilities (e.g., @risk, Arisca, Primavera Risk Analyzer).
