We are looking for an Underwriter to join our Liability team, based in Paris.

Your Team

At Allianz Commercial, we combine specialist expertise and global reach with high levels of AA rated underwriting capacity to industry-specific exposures. This allows us to establish a reputation as leaders of some of the largest and most complex Liability risks in the market.

The Impact You Will Have

Based in Paris and reporting to the Regional Head of Liability, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable new and renewal business to meet Liability targets.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Underwrite in line with the Liability governance framework
• Ensure contract certainty is achieved on all accounts at time of inception
• Manage referrals from underwriters and re-underwrite complex business as appropriate
• Contribute to the development and execution of the regional Underwriting strategy for Liability
• Create and maintain positive relationships with key producers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g., risk managers)

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Experience underwriting profitable business in the Liability segment of large corporate international insurance
• Recognised relationships with clients and brokers at peer group level and are established within the market
• Specialised understanding of regional/local Liability insurance markets and multi-national programmes
• Capable of leveraging data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective
• Good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework
• Able to design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings for contracts
• A team player, you work in open collaboration with others.
• Fluent French language skills and conversational English language skills
