Job title of the line manager: Engineering Services Manager

Responsibilities:

To provide coaching, interim management, and operational diagnostic input.

To work autonomously on contract bid invitations.

To work autonomously on managing complex (multi-site / multi-country) new logistics business startup projects.

To lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team.

To conduct quantitative and qualitative logistics flow chain optimization studies within their field of expertise.

Scope of activities include:

  • Providing support to operations in transformation phases: reducing costs on non-value-added operations, managing crisis situations, participating in business restructuring and performance management, managing operational change as part of a job-saving plan, supporting projects such as mergers/acquisitions, and managing budgets and income statements during transitions.
  • Coordinating teams in response to tenders: understanding customer needs, analyzing specifications, meeting with and visiting customers, constructing logistics solutions, developing sales strategies, mobilizing company participants, validating technical and financial dimensions, and presenting bids.
  • Leading the startup of new activities: managing project teams, budgets, implementation, and resource testing.
  • Analyzing and solving operational problems, optimizing logistics processes through studies, audits, and system implementations.

In support of operations, responsibilities include problem analysis, solution planning, KPI monitoring, and logistics system support.

Project and functional management duties involve QSE compliance, skills development, and supporting QSE maturity growth.

Experience required: +15 years in logistics.
