Responsibilities & Conditions of Exercise

Mission

As Night Brigade Manager, you implement strategic orientations defined by management and ensure their application on the ground. You lead, coordinate, and control your brigade under the authority of the Support and Security Service Manager. Your key role is to ensure surveillance, prevention, and repression of infractions while developing close relations with the public.

Main Responsibilities

Management and Coordination:

  • Lead and animate the night brigade
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and operational instructions
  • Plan and adjust brigade activities based on needs
  • Be the on-site reference during events and demonstrations

Operational and Field Work:

  • Ensure rules regarding armament and authorizations are followed
  • Define priority surveillance zones and organize patrols
  • Coordinate interventions with other security forces
  • Ensure operational responsiveness by mobilizing reinforcements as needed

Cross-Functional Work:

  • Collaborate with other city brigades and services
  • Participate in meetings and coordinated actions with security partners
  • Follow up on operations and report to management
  • Provide interim coverage for another Center Manager if needed

Profile Sought

Public sector candidates with municipal police background (category B - managerial staff), armed or unarmed (armament training funded by Bordeaux), or eligible for detachment conditions (e.g., article L 4139-2 or professional passport for war wounded). Conditions of Exercise

Armed police officer carrying a semi-automatic 9mm pistol, with mandatory initial and ongoing training. Weapon authorization granted by the prefect. Working hours: shifts from 9h12 according to the schedule, between 16h48 and 03h00, variable based on service needs and events. Continuous week (according to cycle), weekends (according to cycle).
