Grade(s) sought: Supervisor, Technician

Contractual openness: Yes, on a derogatory basis compared to civil servant applications (contractual recruitment possible for service needs or due to the nature of functions when no civil servant application is successful). The proposed contract cannot exceed three years, renewable up to a maximum of six years.

Work hours: Full-time

Indicative salary: Statutory salary + allowances + RTT + meal vouchers + CNAS/FDAS + provident fund participation.

Work hours: Full-time

On-call decision-making: 1 week every 5 weeks

Driving license B required - trips with CCSVL service vehicle

Variable hours depending on professional obligations

Transition to SPIC on January 1, 2026

Responsibilities

The Sud Vendée Littoral community manages waste collection in-house across its territory. The waste service comprises 4 units: billing, collection, communication/prevention, and recycling centers.

To implement the incitative fee from January 1, 2026, and strengthen the waste service team, we are recruiting a unit manager for recycling centers.

Under the authority of the waste service manager and assisted by an assistant, your missions will include:

• Managing, optimizing, and leading the recycling centers unit, resolving any dysfunctions
• Providing close management with regular on-site visits
• Handling recruitment of recycling center agents in coordination with HR
• Managing annual schedules and working hours using time-tracking tools
• Proposing technical and organizational scenarios to improve efficiency and user relations
• Overseeing administrative HR tasks related to the unit (contracts, training, leave, communication)
• Monitoring travel expenses of agents
• Participating in the development of informational documents with the communication officer
• Advising and raising awareness among the public for better waste management
• Participating in technical dossiers and operational projects related to the unit
• Engaging with local authorities, professionals, and service providers on waste management projects
• Handling complaints regarding thefts, assaults, or damages
• Planning closures of recycling centers during exceptional weather events

Candidate Profile

Education: BAC +2/BAC +3 in Ecological Engineering / Waste Management / Experience required

Skills:
