Adoc Talent Management is recruiting a Human Resources Manager for its client, a deeptech startup at the crossroads of artificial intelligence and life sciences. The team is composed of international experts from over 10 different nationalities, covering fields from biology to software development and deep learning. With 90% of the company's members holding PhDs and collaborations with top universities and pharmaceutical labs, the company culture promotes innovation, personal initiative, and creativity in a shared commitment to accelerating drug discovery. Operating mainly remotely, trust, autonomy, and empowerment are at the heart of their management model. Currently in an acceleration phase following a fundraising round, the company aims to double its workforce within a year and open a branch in the United States.
Position
In this scale-up context, with people at the core of the startup’s success, various HR challenges and projects have been identified, necessitating the recruitment of an experienced HR professional capable of formulating strategic recommendations, leading and implementing projects from start to finish, and establishing processes with constant attention to HR compliance and employee well-being.
You will work directly with the CEO to design and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and advise leadership on orientations. You will play a central role in attracting and retaining talent in competitive international pools. You will implement effective talent management, including anticipating skill needs, recruitment, onboarding, continuous training, and career management for employees. Acting as an HR Partner, you will help identify professional development desires and skill needs to foster a drive to excel and grow continually. You will empower managers to become the best leaders.
You will set up a performance management system and support managers in evaluation processes with a focus on constructive feedback and continuous improvement. You will also establish a new salary and bonus policy. You will define relevant indicators for professional equality, diversity, inclusion, impact, and CSR and track their progress.
With support from service providers, you will coordinate personnel administration, personnel files, payroll, leave, absences, formalities for international profiles, and ensure compliance with current labor laws and regulations. You will design and implement initiatives to promote employee well-being and satisfaction and reduce psychosocial risks. To contribute to a harmonious atmosphere with a strong team spirit, despite the thousands of kilometers separating some employees, you will also organize team-building events.
Profile
Holding a PhD or master’s degree in human resources or a related field, you have at least six years of experience in human resource management in an innovation, research, or technology environment. Experience in HR process compliance and rapid growth phases of a startup would be significant assets.
Dynamic and result-oriented, you can prioritize and organize your work. You can lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and have good change management and problem-solving skills. You appreciate versatility and can juggle multiple projects. You enjoy processing, documenting, and making your actions efficient and traceable.
You are looking for a multicultural environment and are bilingual in English and French to be comfortable interacting with international employees and supporting the US structure. You are familiar with French labor law and current regulations and quality of work life issues.
Proactivity and leadership define you, you assertively make decisions, communicate transparently, and possess a strong ethical sense and analytical accuracy. You inspire trust and remain calm in all situations. You have a good sense of listening and situation analysis.
