Job Description

The focus of the District Sales Executive (DSE) is on achieving results aligned with the organization's strategic goals. The role requires initiative, a competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions. The DSE orchestrates the involvement of multiple stakeholders in our sales process to secure new customer revenue for the district office and Expeditors network. The environment is flexible, constantly changing, and offers growth opportunities, recognition, and rewards for achieving business results. This position reports to the District Sales Manager.

Minimum expected results from a successful DSE include:

  • Managing an assigned territory with extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors
  • Timely data entry into our Customer Relationship Management system
  • Orchestrating customer and branch relationships and collaborating with regional teams
  • Creating value-added solutions for customers' logistics needs, including diagrams and cost-benefit analyses
  • Supporting the transition of new accounts and securing necessary paperwork, including accounts receivable collection when needed
  • Participating in training to develop selling skills and update product and service knowledge
  • Engaging in local trade groups as directed
  • Supporting additional assignments as required

Qualifications

  • Ability to meet with customers off-site and via virtual tools
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • A sense of urgency for achieving goals
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Comfort with regular data entry on a laptop
  • Focus on building rapport and relationships

  • Timeliness and accountability in results
