Description du poste

This position is located in our Head Office. Geographically, this position will serve Paris-Ile de France and Normandy (potentially up to 12 departments), with direct report to the head of field offices.

Job description:

  1. Define and execute the commercial strategy in the Paris/Ile de France area.
  2. Be the representative of Chubb locally with brokers and partners, by building, developing, and structuring strong and durable relationships.
  3. Lead brokers' animation and distribution to develop a profitable portfolio and achieve quarterly broker visitation goals. Identify portfolio or brokers with industry specialism.
  4. Work closely with the underwriting teams to present our underwriting appetite to develop new business opportunities.
  5. Identify market trends in the region, help identify the industry practices’ unmet needs in this market.
  6. Report regularly and forecast results.

Along with the other Branch managers in Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Nantes, and Strasbourg, the BDM Paris plays a key leadership role in driving the business locally.

Key Responsibilities:

Broker management

  1. Maintain CHUBB visibility in close relation with line managers and increase our market share, develop our revenue while maintaining profitability.
  2. Develop our local sales presence by managing and reinforcing relationships with brokers across all lines of business.
  3. Organize broker visits according to broker segmentation and support the field presence of underwriters.
  4. Define financial goals by line and by broker for the main brokers.
  5. Ensure the efficiency of broker visits in the region: preparation work, agreed actions, trip reports, follow-up actions.
  6. Plan broker entertainment.
  7. Analyze and monitor sales KPIs by lines of business and broker, and implement actions to maximize potential.
  8. Represent CHUBB during professional shows or industry trade events.
  9. Ensure good data quality.

Sales actions:

  1. Prospecting, cross-selling to ensure saturation of our clients, promoting our online platform solution.
  2. Pipeline management in conjunction with dedicated underwriters.
  3. Attend monthly sales meetings in Paris.
  4. Build and develop strong relationships with main brokers and partners to proactively adapt our offer to market needs.
  5. Develop a comprehensive understanding of CHUBB's underwriting appetite for each line of business.
  6. Provide market intelligence.
  7. Develop new contacts to enlarge our footprint and reinforce our market position.

Internal stakeholder management:

Influence other underwriters and business line managers to become trusted partners.

Collaborate with operational functions such as Operations and Claims.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally 3 years of experience in P&C insurance, preferably in commercial lines, with a good understanding of insurance products.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly autonomous, sales-driven, with the ability to understand underwriting strategies and work closely with underwriting teams.
  • Experience in managing brokers is a strong plus.
