Alvarez & Marsal in Paris is seeking a seasoned Resource Manager to partner with business leaders, plan staffing, and drive utilisation across the firm. You will collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR, Finance and Operations to ensure staffing aligns with project demand and commercial priorities.

The role requires strong relationship building, prioritisation skills and proficiency in reporting tools, including AI-enabled planning.

Qualifications

• Resource Manager with several years of experience in a consulting firm or matrix organisation.
• Able to effectively partner with Business Leaders and other Resource Managers.
• Excellent relationship building skills, communicating with Business Leaders and staff across various business units.
• Able to manage staffing by efficiently prioritising multiple competing demands and deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledgeable in AI and resource planning tools.

Responsabilités

• Go-to person for all staffing matters for most business units in our Paris office.
• Assess and plan future resource requirements, driving utilisation based on current and future project pipeline.
• Build relationships across the business in France with internal stakeholders including Senior Management, Talent Acquisition, HR, Finance and Operations teams.
• Advise on conflicts and issues, prioritising based on commercial needs and key skills available.
• Monitor performance goals and development needs to influence resourcing decisions and skills development.
• Utilise staffing/workforce planning tools and reporting to measure utilisation and guide decisions.
• Collaborate with the wider Resource Management team in Europe, Middle East and Africa and globally as required.

The Team

The Resource Management team effectively partners with business leaders to ensure optimal staffing solutions considering skills, availability and utilisation levels. We are trusted business partners who manage deployment opportunities across the firm and drive balanced levels of utilisation through enhanced visibility of skills and capacity.

How You Will Contribute

• Go-to person for all staffing matters for most business units in our Paris office
• Assess and plan future resource requirements, driving utilisation based on a thorough understanding of current and future project pipeline.
• Build relationships across the business in France, with internal stakeholders including Senior Management, Talent Acquisition, HR, Finance and Operations teams
• Effectively plan for, and advise on conflicts and issues, on a regular basis, prioritising based on commercial needs and key skills available
• Build awareness of individuals’ performance goals and development needs, influencing resourcing decisions that further the continuation of business and individuals’ skill-set development
• Advanced use of staffing/ workforce planning tools, AI and reporting (for example Profinda, Claude, PowerBI) in measuring utilisation and influencing staffing decisions
• Collaborate extensively with the wider Resource Management team in EMEA and globally, as required by project needs

Qualifications

• Resource Manager with several years of experience in a consulting firm or matrix organisation; experience in Ops, HR or Recruitment role also beneficial for the role
• Able to effectively partner with Business Leaders and other Resource Managers in the firm, working closely with the wider European Resource Management team
• Excellent relationship building skills, communicating with Business Leaders and staff across various business units
• Able to manage staffing by efficiently prioritising multiple competing demands and dealing with tight deadlines
• Able to present meaningful reporting insights to senior leadership, delivering key resourcing messages and driving agreed-upon actions
Degree educated with several years of work experience in a professional services or corporate environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledgeable in AI as well as resource planning tools
• Previous experience using a Resource Management/ Planning tool would be advantageous but not essential
• Fluent speaker in both French and English
