Job summary

Viridien is seeking a motivated intern for the Reservoir Research department in Massy, France. You will work with the seismic reservoir imaging team on 3D modelling, inversion schemes, and data validation to accelerate new methods.

You will collaborate with scientists from geology, physics, and engineering to deliver robust results while gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge geoscience and software development projects.

Qualifications

• Last year of Engineer School or Masters degree with strong skills in Mathematics, Physics and Numerical computation.
• Strong background in Mathematics, Physics and Numerical Computation.
• Strong analytical approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with seismic inversion researchers to adapt inversion schemes to the defined elastic domain.
• Participate in the development and implementation of a prototype to be able to handle all the requirements of each inversion.
• Implement and test the methodology on real data to validate its application, to understand the impact of the different parameters as well as the limitations.
