Une organisation de recherche propose un poste postdoctoral en biologie moléculaire pour analyser les génomes de Plasmodium falciparum. Le candidat retenu sera chargé de mener une étude de génétique des populations et de rédiger un article scientifique dans le cadre de l'Horizon Europe.

Qualifications

• PhD requis dans un domaine pertinent avec expérience en analyse de données génomiques.
• Compétences en bioinformatique souhaitées.
• Expérience en rédaction scientifique est un atout.

Responsabilités

• Analyse des génomes collectés et rédaction d'un article scientifique.
• Séquençage des génomes de ~100 souches de P. falciparum.
• Utilisation d'outils bioinformatiques pour analyser les données.

Offer Description

Total duration of the project: 1 year

Brief description of the project: Analysis of Plasmodium falciparum genomes and transcriptomes

Main mission: Analysis of Plasmodium falciparum and transcriptomes collected from the field, with the aim of conducting a global population genetics study of P. falciparum in Africa. Drafting of the first version of a scientific article on the populatioon genetics of P. falciparum in Africa.

Definition of tasks to be accomplished: Sequencing of genomes from ~ 100P. falciparum strains. Data analysis using bioinformatics tools. Writting of a scientific article.

The net monthly salary is €2,200

The contract duration is 12 months
