The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Centre, is seeking a dynamic professional to join its team in Accra, Ghana as a Research Officer – Water Data Analytics.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and expanding team of specialists dedicated to advancing IWMI’s suite of tools for water accounting and water resources assessments across Africa. The Research Officer will play a key role in advancing IWMI’s digital innovation tools and their application across various spatial scales, from river basins to national and continental levels. You will contribute to multiple projects by utilizing cutting-edge remote sensing techniques and data processing technologies in hydrological applications. In this role, the goal is to provide timely and high-quality insights into water availability, usage, and sustainable limits.
Requirements
This is a nationally recruited position and only Ghanaian nationals will be considered. IWMI offers a competitive salary and benefits package, inclusive of health insurance, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and long-term disability coverage. The duration of the contract will initially be for a period of two years with the possibility of extension.
