Control Risks is offering an internship aimed at students to learn compliant due diligence and gain practical skills in a global risk consultancy. You will assist on corporate compliance, financial crime, KYC and screening projects while supporting marketing and AI-enabled initiatives.

You will perform media research, analyze complex structures, and help uncover reputational and sanctions exposure under strict methodologies, collaborating across the firm.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to write clearly, concisely and authoritatively to tight deadlines.
  • Conduct media and database research using complex search criteria and following a strict methodology.
  • Collaborate with team members across the firm to deliver joint projects.
  • Communicate complex topics verbally and in writing effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to summarise large amounts of information in a clear and concise manner.

Responsabilités

  • Support the SDP team on due diligence assignments including corporate compliance/ABAC/ESG, financial crime/IPO/KYC, and maritime screening.
  • Support the team on ad-hoc activities such as developing marketing material, prototyping new business products and AI-enabled systems.
  • Perform media research, work with databases and primary documents to uncover reputational and criminal issues and identify beneficial ownership, plus sanction exposure.

Description du poste

The purpose of the internship program is to provide the university student with an opportunity to learn about compliance-driven due diligence and develop professional skills, gain practical knowledge, and experience working life at a global risk consultancy.

  • The successful candidate will support the dedicated team (SDP) on a range of due diligence assignments, which include:
    • corporate compliance/ABAC/ESG projects
    • financial crime/IPO/KYC projects
    • corporate and maritime screening projects
  • The successful candidate will also support the team on ad-hoc activities such as developing marketing material, prototyping new business products and AI-enabled systems.
  • As part of the team, your main tasks will include media research, working with databases, primary documents and other sources to uncover reputational and criminal issues and ultimate beneficial ownership, as well as making sense of complex corporate structures and identifying possible political and sanctions exposure.
Essential
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree

Preferred
  • Knowledge of the business, political and regulatory environment in France, Europe or other relevant regions.
  • Experience of using research techniques, databases, networks, online registers and archives, and research in the general internet
