Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Research Engineer for the Spectacles BCI Team to advance ML for time-series data from wearable devices, based in our Paris office.

You will lead product-related research, design experiments, and develop robust pipelines for cognitive and physiological decoding from multimodal biosignals. The role requires a Master’s (or PhD) and 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong Python skills and a background in signal processing and multivariate time-series analysis.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field; 3+ years of research/engineering experience in time-series, biometric, wearable or multimodal data.
  • Experience with wearable biometrics products or platforms is required.
  • Strong signal-processing fundamentals and ability to translate research into engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct focused research projects on time-series data and wearables, defining hypotheses and experiments.
  • Translate literature into modeling approaches aligned with product needs.
  • Build signal-processing and ML pipelines for noisy real-world data.
  • Develop ML models for cognitive/physiological decoding from multimodal signals.
  • Collaborate with software and research teams on model development and evaluations.
