Job summary

Inria in Nancy seeks a Research Engineer F/M to contribute to PILOT, focusing on secure, distributed collaborative systems. The role blends hands-on software development with research prototyping and interdisciplinary collaboration, with open-source artifacts and demonstrators at the core.

You will work with PhD students, postdocs, and engineers within the LORELEY team to advance Axis 2 and Axis 4 objectives.

Qualifications

• Solid programming and software engineering skills.
• Interest in distributed systems, collaborative applications, and security.
• Experience developing research prototypes or contributing to open-source projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate research prototypes of distributed and secure collaborative applications.
• Integrate prototypes into functional demonstrators illustrating long-term collaboration across boundaries.
• Develop and maintain an open-source repository of PILOT software components, with documentation and use cases.
• Collaborate with PILOT partners and contribute to technical documentation and dissemination.
