Job summary

Inria, via the PILOT project at the LORELEY team in Nancy, is seeking a Research Engineer in distributed and secure collaborative systems. You will design and implement research prototypes, integrate demonstrators, and develop an open-source PILOT repository with documentation and deployment instructions.

You should hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, have strong programming and software engineering skills, and enjoy collaborating with researchers, PhD students, postdocs, and

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong programming and software engineering skills.
• Experience developing research prototypes and open-source software is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; French is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop research prototypes (Axis 2) with PhD students and researchers.
• Integrate and develop demonstrators (Axis 4) and reusable components.
• Maintain the PILOT technical repository with documentation and deployment guides.
• Evaluate and validate solutions in collaboration with CSCW/HCI researchers.
• Contribute to technical documentation, deliverables, and dissemination activities.
