Lever, Inc. is partnering to hire a Senior Software Engineer - Clearing based in France. You will design, build, and evolve trusted distributed systems enabling clearing, settlement, and securities finance in a modern financial services environment.

You'll own projects end-to-end, tackle ambiguity, and collaborate across teams to deliver practical, high-impact solutions. This role offers significant ownership, on-call responsibilities, and remote work options across Europe and the Americas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building reliable and distributed software systems.
• Experience designing high-quality RESTful APIs and identifying weaknesses in API design.
• Strong ownership and accountability for both individual work and team outcomes.
• Experience in startup or fast-moving environments where priorities evolve with business needs.

Responsabilités

• Own software projects from ideation through deployment, translating goals into practical systems.
• Build reliable distributed systems supporting clearing, settlement, securities finance, and new product offerings.
• Develop infrastructure and integrations enabling new products, revenue opportunities, and capabilities.
• Improve existing systems by increasing reliability, maintainability, performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate across teams to understand requirements, resolve ambiguity, and deliver effective solutions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain reliability of critical systems.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, guiding improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Design and implement well-structured RESTful APIs and evaluate interfaces for quality.
