Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks a Senior ML Engineer - Malware Detection to work remotely from France. You will build and deploy production ML systems to detect web-based malware across large Linux hosting environments, with access to GPUs and modern AI tooling.

You will develop classifiers, automatic signature generation, and context-aware detection, evaluate rigorously, optimize for latency and cost, and collaborate with malware analysts, engineers, and infra teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Production ML experience in production environments, with security domain knowledge.
• Transformer models: fine-tuning including LoRA/QLoRA or full fine-tuning, beyond API calls.
• Classical ML concepts and when to apply them over LLMs.
• Leakage-free evaluation with time- and malware-family splits, and regression datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy ML models on malware data to improve detection.
• Develop classification/triage and generated detection signatures.
• Context-aware threat detection for phishing pages, webshells, and script injections.
• Improve detection precision and cleanup effectiveness, with production readiness.
• Rigorous evaluation and validation before deployment; monitor false positives.
• Optimize throughput, latency, and cost; deployment across hosting fleets.
• Move models into production with shadow deployments and controlled releases.
• Continuous learning from analyst feedback and retraining cycles.
• Develop reusable training pipelines and GPU resource management.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and infra teams; document results.
• Align milestones: production-data model in first month, multiple models in production by month three.
