Job summary

Pennylane is redefining the accounting software landscape in France and Europe. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll own the squad's delivery, build reliable, scalable, and user-focused products, and help engineers grow.

You’ll contribute across the stack, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and pursue high-impact initiatives while embracing a remote-friendly culture and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• At least 7–8 years of hands-on Ruby on Rails experience.
• Strong product and business understanding paired with user focus.
• Collaborative team player with clear communication and ownership.
• Enjoy solving complex problems, particularly in accounting in Europe.
• Ability to articulate ideas clearly across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand and frame user and product problems to deliver value.
• Lead major technical deliveries within a squad from design to production.
• Investigate production issues using monitoring and data analysis.
• Design robust, scalable, and reliable solutions.
• Bring expertise in at least one major stack area and adapt quickly on new initiatives.
• Improve engineering practices via code reviews, pairing, and RFCs.
• Collaborate with other teams and communicate progress, risks and decisions.
• Contribute to Pennylane tech community through content and events.
