Kestra is seeking a QA Engineer for a fully remote role focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform across open source and Enterprise editions. You will work directly with customer support tickets, reproduce issues, and verify fixes before they ship.

You will design and maintain test plans, perform manual and exploratory testing, and contribute to automated coverage. Strong English communication and self-directed work are essential in our globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Experience in software QA with strong manual and automated testing.
• Ability to read and interpret customer support tickets and reproduce issues.
• Knowledge of Linux basics and command line.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code for engineering/testing.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with APIs, logs, and distributed systems.
• Experience writing automated tests in Java, Python, or TypeScript and with test frameworks.
• Strong written English communication.
• Self-directed and detail oriented.

Responsabilités

• Review and translate customer tickets into actionable bug reports for the engineering team.
• Reproduce bugs across environments and configurations with proper context.
• Design, write, and maintain test plans and cases for open source and Enterprise features.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing; execute regression tests per release cycle.
• Collaborate with engineers to define acceptance criteria and edge cases; validate fixes before release.
• Contribute to automated test coverage where applicable.
• Track quality metrics, test coverage, and recurring issues to guide improvements.
