Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Statistics Expert on a contract basis to deliver authoritative statistical responses and insights. Remote, 10-40 hours per week.

You will work independently to analyze complex statistics problems and provide clear, well‑explained solutions. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Statistics or a closely related field, with strong writing and communication skills, experience publishing statistical materials, and familiarity with Bayesian methods.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics or closely related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for conveying complex statistical concepts.
• Experience creating, reviewing, or publishing scientific materials in statistics.
• Familiarity with probability theory, statistical inference, and Bayesian methods.
• Experience with MySQL and advanced data analysis techniques.

Responsabilités

• Produce authoritative responses to advanced statistics queries.
• Review data, queries, and solutions for accuracy.
• Develop explanations and justifications for statistics concepts.
• Collaborate with annotation leads and project managers to refine requirements.
• Create exemplary 'golden responses' for AI model outputs.
• Document context and rationale behind answers to enhance interpretability.
• Participate in remote discussions or workshops to clarify objectives.
