Speechify in Lille, France is seeking a Software Engineer for Platform to own backend systems powering payments, auth, subscriptions, and analytics. You will help scale the public TTS API across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and web while maintaining strict correctness and uptime.

You will collaborate with product and mobile teams to evolve the backend architecture and deploy high-availability services on containerized platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience in TS/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP; working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or another cloud.
• Habit of sharing work you used to own and can show for it.
• Experience describing AI agent workflows and unattended processes.
• Ability to check results against logs, DB state, and actual requests, not summaries.
• Good judgment on what not to build and clear reasons for decisions.
• Comfort with asynchronous, high-availability environments.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and own APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, consumption tracking, and TTS API.
• Improve services you didn't write to be faster, cheaper, and more reliable.
• Ensure changes are correct before release and leave robust checks in place.
• Automate repetitive parts of the role to free up time for higher impact work.
• Translate completed work into repeatable patterns for the team.
• Design B2B and enterprise integrations for customers.
• Collaborate with product, mobile, and web to keep backend architecture aligned with the product roadmap.
