Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst for AI training. You will analyze CVEs, vulnerability data, and exposure scenarios to shape how AI understands and prioritizes security risks in production environments.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization. This remote role offers flexible hours (10–40 per week) and ongoing project opportunities within Alignerr.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security.
• Hands-on familiarity with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks.
• Able to think clearly about the tradeoffs between CVSS scores and real-world exploitability.
• Structured, analytical thinker who can communicate security reasoning in clear terms.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on asynchronous tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications.
• Classify severity, exploitability, impact, and remediation strategies across environments.
• Evaluate patching, mitigation, and risk prioritization decision-making scenarios.
• Generate, label, and validate realistic security-reasoning data for AI training.
• Apply judgment to help AI distinguish between theoretical risk and real-world importance.
