Alignerr is seeking an Application Security Analyst (AI Training) to work on realistic security scenarios that help frontier AI models learn to identify, assess, and prioritize application risk. Your hands-on expertise becomes the foundation for AI-powered security reasoning.

This remote hourly contract offers 10–40 hours per week, with autonomy to work asynchronously. You will analyze real-world vulnerabilities, annotate findings, and help shape secure AI systems used at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in application security, product security, or software security roles.
• Solid working knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and common production vulnerabilities.
• Ability to think like an attacker — and communicate findings like a trusted advisor.
• Strong written communication skills with a structured, methodical approach to security reasoning.
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously in a task-based environment.

Responsabilités

• Analyze real-world application security scenarios spanning code, APIs, and system behavior
• Classify and annotate vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, access control issues, and business logic weaknesses
• Evaluate secure coding practices and assess the quality of proposed remediation strategies
• Distinguish genuine exploitability from theoretical or low-risk findings
• Help create and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that teach AI how to assess application risk accurately and responsibly
