ixolabs.ai is actively seeking an AI Agent Engineer for AI training to help produce robust agent code that manages tool calls, recovers from errors, and adheres to budget constraints. The role emphasizes building production-grade agents with strong tooling knowledge and security awareness.

You will work remotely on a flexible schedule (10–25 hours/week) for an independent contractor arrangement, collaborating across teams to improve memory handling, tooling, and orchestration patterns in agent

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production agents or automation systems.
• Familiar with at least one agent framework and one custom agent loop.
• Strong grasp of tool-calling APIs across major LLM providers.
• Experience with sandboxed code execution and untrusted input handling.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript for agent development.
• Familiarity with browser/OS control or CRM-integrated agents is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Generate and evaluate instruction-response pairs for agent loops, planners, and reflection patterns.
• Review AI-generated code using LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom agent frameworks.
• Provide feedback on tool-calling design, schema validation, and error recovery.
• Validate AI handling of memory, retrieval, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Evaluate observability patterns (LangSmith, Langfuse, OpenTelemetry) for agent runs.
• Identify subtle issues in retry loops, runaway costs, and unsafe tool exposure.
