Overview
Regulatory Specialist | Environmental Management – ProSidian Seeks a Regulatory Specialist for Environmental Management (DPLH). Engagement is on a contingent basis, exempt contract, located CONUS across ten states: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Focus areas include flood management, environmental restoration, and military construction within the Missouri River Basin, supporting DoD/USACE missions (NWO) in environmental services and regulatory oversight.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Regulatory Specialist | Environmental Management [USACE020025]: ensure project compliance with environmental regulations, prepare documentation, and liaise with regulatory agencies.
- Maintain professional knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, MHA, SARA, TSCA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and related implementing regulations) and apply them to project activities.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and regulatory compliance.
- College degree in environmental, physical or natural sciences or engineering; professional registration in their field (e.g., PE license, CHMM, REM, or equivalent).
- Minimum five (5) years of professional experience; minimum three (3) years in accumulation, manifesting, and shipment of wastes.
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s in Environmental Science or Law (or related). Relevant licenses/certifications beneficial.
- Proficiency in regulatory knowledge, documentation, and communication with regulatory agencies.
Skills and Competencies
- Regulatory knowledge and documentation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Excellent oral and written communication; ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong project management capabilities; attention to detail and ability to meet milestones.
Other Details
- Permits/Licenses: ProSidian will obtain permits and licenses necessary to conduct work (environmental permits, building permits, discharge permits, NRC/state licenses for radiation, DOT permits for MEC/HTRW transport).
- Compliance: Federal, state, and local laws; Training requirements; e-Verify participation noted.
- Background Check and Drug Testing: ProSidian may conduct background checks and drug testing as applicable.
- VISA Sponsorship: No sponsorship (H-1B/TN) for this position; U.S. Citizenship required.
