Cabinet SomeOne seeks a Regulatory & CSR Manager to lead regulatory affairs and CSR initiatives for beauty packaging across France and Europe. You will manage supplier referencement, client audits, and EcoVadis submissions, while mentoring a growing regulatory team.

Fluency in French and English, 10+ years in cosmetics packaging regulatory affairs, and willingness to relocate to Paris are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in regulatory affairs within the beauty/cosmetics packaging industry.
• Fluent in French and English; strong knowledge of EU cosmetics packaging regulations.
• Experience with client referencement processes and EcoVadis CSR reporting preferred.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris.

Responsabilités

• Regulatory & CSR leadership for cosmetics packaging across France and Europe.
• Ensure packaging compliance with EU and French regulations (Cosmetics Regulation EC 1223/2009, PPWR, REACH).
• Monitor evolving regulatory requirements, labeling, and recyclability issues.
• Review and validate technical files, labeling, and packaging claims prior to market release.
• Lead supplier referencement files and client audits/referencement renewals.
• Own EcoVadis assessment submission and CSR certifications; track CSR KPIs.
• Mentor regulatory staff and build scalable processes for expanded scope.

One of our clients, a growing international SME specializing in primary packaging for the cosmetics and luxury sectors, is looking for a Regulatory & CSR Manager.

The aim is to lead and strengthen the regulatory, client referencement, and corporate social responsibility functions for beauty packaging products across France and the broader European market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulatory Affairs

• Ensure packaging compliance with EU and French regulations (Cosmetics Regulation EC 1223/2009, Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation/PPWR, REACH, food-contact rules where relevant)
• Monitor and interpret evolving EU and national regulatory requirements affecting beauty packaging (materials, labeling, recyclability, extended producer responsibility)
• Review and validate technical files, labeling, and packaging claims prior to market release
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations (e.g., Cosmetics Europe, FEBEA)
• Anticipate regulatory changes (e.g., PPWR implementation, single-use plastics rules) and advise leadership on business impact
• Complete and manage supplier referencement (vendor qualification/onboarding) files for worldwide clients — technical questionnaires, compliance dossiers, audits, and certifications required by client procurement processes
• Act as main point of contact for client regulatory and quality audits and referencement renewals
• Maintain an up-to-date documentation library to streamline recurring client referencement requests

CSR / Sustainability

• Own and coordinate the company's yearly EcoVadis assessment submission
• Manage other internal and external CSR certifications and audits
• Track and report on CSR and sustainability KPIs internally
• Support the broader ESG strategy as it relates to packaging materials, sourcing, and compliance
• Lead and mentor the current regulatory affairs associate; build out team processes, documentation standards, and workflows to handle the broadened scope

Serve as senior point of contact across R&D, procurement, sales, and clients for all regulatory and CSR

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' experience in regulatory affairs within the beauty/cosmetics packaging industry
• Experience with client referencement processes and CSR/EcoVadis reporting strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of French and EU regulatory frameworks for cosmetics packaging
• Fluent in both French and English (required)
• Experience managing or mentoring junior regulatory staff
• Strong communication skills across technical, commercial, and leadership stakeholders
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris
