Job Summary
Responsible for the group function "Technical Compliance" in the respective location (classe d'emploi G13). Responsible for local roll-out and monitoring the Technical Compliance Management System (TCMS) as well as to drive its continuous improvement. Coordinate local TC clearings and incidents and align with the global team for appropriate handling and decision making.
Job Responsibilities
- TC General:
- Drive the local strategic agenda of Technical Compliance by setting targets and priorities in alignment with the Head of TC.
- Ensure an effective local Technical Compliance Management System (TCMS) in cooperation with divisions, business units, plants, and relevant group functions.
- Monitor process/system effectiveness and TCMS risks; provide regular reports to the Head of TC.
- Maintain relationships with external parties, regulators, auditors, suppliers, and testing institutes, including handling queries and investigations.
- Establish and maintain relevant TCMS 2nd Line of Defense (LoD) processes locally, especially Clearing and Incident Management, in close alignment with TC Systems Management.
- Governance:
- Review local audit reports related to TC aspects.
- Monitor measures in the 1st LoD and drive improvements in TCMS.
- Training/Culture:
- Promote local cultural development for TC.
- Develop and implement country-specific training programs, measures, and tools.
- Advise employees at all levels on TC matters.
- Monitoring:
- Monitor TC-related processes and measures (clearings, regulations, trainings).
- Coordinate communication and cooperation with customers alongside sales and project management.
- Develop the TCMS organization as the leading internal advisor on Product Compliance, handling daily requests from engineering or product management regarding international regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Competencies:
- Strategic Planning: Develop local strategies, procedural expertise, and strong commercial acumen.
- Leadership: Foster cultural development at the country level.
- Operational: Analytical skills for complex products, functions, processes, and legal aspects; decision-making; conflict resolution.
- Languages: English, German
- Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, MINT fields, with relevant specialization or experience in highly technical environments; preferably additional/postgraduate studies in economics, law, or MBA.
- Work Experience:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in development-related fields.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills, with experience working cross-functionally across multiple locations and hierarchical levels.
- Strong understanding of automotive regulations and standards such as EN, ISO, IEC.
