Position Overview

The Regional Oncology Liaison is responsible for maximizing the potential of the product in key accounts, while staying within budget within the defined region. Key activities include delivering selling messages, providing high-level customer service to be a best-in-class assay provider, and solving challenging problems in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in oncology sales (preferably breast cancer) and existing contacts within private healthcare clinics/hospitals in the region. They will engage with physicians and KOLs to develop sales in existing and new accounts, build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, and develop key account records to manage these relationships.

Reporting to the Country Manager, France, the Regional Oncology Liaison will join a small, start-up phase organization. The candidate should have an entrepreneurial mindset, work autonomously, support the country manager with sales leads outside the region, and be willing to travel as necessary. Attendance at international and national conferences/meetings is also expected. Due to the complexity of medical oncology diagnostics, a medical/scientific background with data analysis skills, organizational ability, flexibility, and passion for working with such products are highly desirable.

The position is field-based in France, covering several regions, which will be shared during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize product potential in key accounts within the allocated budget.
  • Deliver sales messages and provide high-level customer service to establish best-in-class assay provision.
  • Engage with physicians and KOLs to develop sales in existing and new accounts.
  • Achieve sales targets.
  • Understand customer needs comprehensively and develop key account records to manage relationships.
  • Establish and follow contracts with private clinics and public hospitals.
  • Follow up on test payments.
  • Support the Country Manager with sales leads outside the region, including travel when necessary.
  • Attend conferences and meetings relevant to the French and European markets, and assist with exhibition setup.
Essential Competencies
  • Drive sales within the defined region.
  • Manage and grow business in existing and new accounts, achieving sales goals.
  • Present on products locally, attend relevant conferences, and assist with exhibitions.
  • Participate in regular product training.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience promoting premium products.
  • Successful track record promoting complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics, preferably breast cancer.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers, including reimbursement processes.
  • Strong knowledge of KOLs, oncologists, pathologists, procurement, and key decision-makers in the region.
  • Proven skills in territory and key account management.
  • Deep understanding of clinical research and diagnostics in cancer.
  • Excellent knowledge of cancer care within the French public healthcare sector.
  • Valid French driver’s license.
  • Fluency in French.
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in genomics and/or clinical settings.
  • Strong command of English for business purposes.
  • Experience in market access, marketing, leadership, training, or related non-sales roles.
