Position Description:

The EMEA Market Development Manager is a key member of the EMEA Biosciences Segment Market Development team. They will contribute to the growth of our Biotech and Pharma markets by developing, executing, and managing regional marketing strategies to drive growth. The role also supports the Biosciences Division (BID) OEM business.

We seek a dynamic candidate who combines creativity and analytics to create impactful marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate should excel in navigating a matrix organization, ensuring alignment among various stakeholders, and managing complex projects within budget and schedule.

This is an individual contributor role with high visibility, working across functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic, multi-channel marketing plans for Biotech and Pharma customers, including competitor analysis, market trends, and tactical program staging.
  • Create sales enablement tools and customer-facing materials in collaboration with global marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with EMEA Regional Market Development managers to shape portfolio strategy.
  • Partner with BID Biotech and Pharma commercial teams to implement tactical plans aligned with strategic goals.
  • Drive regional and global marketing activities to communicate value propositions to customers via campaigns, distributors, and events.
  • Define engagement strategies to enhance marketing impact, including digital channels like LinkedIn and ResearchGate.
  • Work with OEM commercial leaders to develop value propositions and marketing support.
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics, adjusting tactics as needed.
  • Conduct market research to gather insights and inform strategies.
  • Deliver digital marketing campaigns supporting revenue targets.
  • Ensure ROI of marketing activities aligns with targets.
  • Support additional projects to advance the life sciences business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
  • Experience in product or portfolio marketing, go-to-market strategies
  • Biotech or pharma industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of marketing mix, media outreach, content strategy, VOC/VOS, segmentation, lead generation, value propositions
  • Strong influencing, collaboration, analytical, and project management skills
  • Willingness to travel (~25%), including international travel

This role is onsite (4 days in-office, 1 day remote) at our offices in Inchinnan, Scotland; Milan, Italy; Madrid, Spain; Paris, France; or Darmstadt, Germany. Some international travel may be required.
