Job Description:

The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Regional Director for Latin America and Country Representative for Peru.

The position: This role serves as both Country Representative for Peru and Regional Director for Latin America, aiming to strengthen CIP’s relationships with the Peruvian government and partners, while expanding CIP’s science and innovation initiatives in Latin America.

As Country Representative, the role involves leading CIP’s implementation plans for Peru aligned with CIP2030 strategic goals and Peru’s agreements. As Regional Director, the role includes managing government, partner, and funder relations across Latin America, overseeing regional growth through strategic programming and partnerships. The successful candidate will report to the Director General and be based in Lima, Peru.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master) in Science or Management.
• Minimum of 10 years of international experience in research and/or development organizations.
• Leadership experience in a similar role within development or international organizations.
• Strong experience with institutional representation in Peru.
• Proven track record of establishing regional partnerships with funders, governments, and research entities in Latin America.
• Knowledge of management practices for implementing plans and mechanisms.
• Budget management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software.
