Job Description

The overall scope of the position is to maintain and execute the Digital Marketing and E-commerce activities including but not limited to developing strategy, content updates, social media management, email marketing, display and programmatic campaigns, Metasearch and OTA optimization for the properties in Sub Saharan Africa. Reporting directly to the Regional Digital Director. Based in Cape Town.

Main responsibilities:
  1. Build digital yearly plan and budget for the hotels across direct & indirect channels.
  2. Contribute to hotel strategy, working closely with key stakeholders such as hotel marketing managers, cluster marketing managers or DOSMs, sales, revenue, PR, F&B.
  3. Develop quarterly and yearly e-commerce and digital marketing plans covering all digital channels and levers (direct and indirect).
  4. Plan and execute all digital marketing activities including SEO/SEA, email marketing, social media, display, Metasearch, and influencer collaborations.
  5. Lead strategic communication campaigns on digital and social media platforms to increase engagement, influence, and reach.
  6. Ensure the accuracy and quality of content on Google for each property to maximize visibility.
  7. Report and analyze web direct and indirect performance.
  8. Measure and report the performance of digital marketing campaigns against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  9. Maintain the hotels’ presence on key social platforms relevant to source markets and optimize social content performance.
  10. Monitor and support rate parity across distribution channels with the Revenue Director/Manager.
  11. Manage hotel online reputation.
  12. Regularly review competitors’ content and offers to maintain competitiveness.
  13. Identify trends, insights, and optimize spend and performance accordingly.
  14. Brainstorm new growth strategies.
  15. Utilize analytical skills to evaluate customer experience across channels.
  16. Enhance visibility and usage of the Accor app across hotels.
  17. Collaborate with agencies and vendors.
  18. Assess emerging technologies and lead adoption where appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in E-Commerce/Digital Marketing in hospitality or retail.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong understanding of current digital marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices.
  • Excellent presentation and customer relationship skills.
  • Energetic, passionate, and innovative approach to work.
