The Recruiter is responsible for Service Excellence throughout the recruitment cycle. They act as a brand ambassador for the client, focused on delivering exceptional talent while providing proactive and timely communication on the status of the search. They serve as a subject matter expert in talent acquisition and provide consultative direction and industry expertise to the hiring leader.
Responsibilities:
- Finding Candidates: Lead detailed job scope meetings with the hiring leader to determine position specifications, providing relevant market data and recommendations on search approaches or candidate requirements.
- Review candidates who have applied via the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Evaluate candidate qualifications against position requirements and determine who to move forward in the recruitment process.
- Develop and manage recruitment marketing or sourcing plans to identify the most appropriate candidate sources.
- Source candidates via resume databases, search engines, and networking sites using Boolean search language.
- Solicit and pursue referrals from business networks and internal sources.
- Utilize Cielo's proprietary software for mobile and email campaigns to talent communities.
- Engaging Candidates: Use an appropriate mix of media (phone, email, social media) to connect with talent communities.
- Articulate the value proposition to interested candidates.
- Prepare candidates for interviews by coaching on logistics, interview schedules, attire, and expectations.
- Provide timely updates to candidates regarding their application and interview status.
- Assessing Candidates: Draft and utilize phone interview templates aligned with the job description.
- Use judgment to compare interview notes and skills assessments to determine candidate suitability.
- Issue skills testing and evaluate results as needed.
- Review background and reference information as required.
- Influencing the Hire: Keep candidates engaged with consistent communication and partner with hiring leaders to determine offer details based on market data and guidelines.
- Present job offers and negotiate as appropriate.
- Service Excellence: Adhere to all regulations, including OFCCP and compliance standards.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines to ensure multiple qualified candidates are always available.
- Provide regular reports on recruiting activities, metrics, and efforts.
- Identify search difficulties and recommend solutions to stakeholders.
- Communicate search statuses proactively and consultatively, offering recommendations for next steps.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, or related field preferred.
Experience: At least two years of recruiting experience in a corporate, RPO, or agency setting, with familiarity with ATS and social media tools.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in Boolean search techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and metrics related to talent acquisition.
