Alstom in France is seeking an intern for our high-tech department to develop an innovative optical measurement system for onboard a commercial train. As part of the development team, you will contribute to cutting-edge sensors and integration into rail vehicles.

The internship lasts 6 months starting late September. The role covers design, testing, and supplier evaluation, with a focus on safety standards and welding regulations.

Qualifications

• M2 level required or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong skills in mechanical design, manufacturing, and electrical engineering.
• Teamwork is essential for success in this internship.

Responsabilités

• Compare the technical solution with existing products on the market.
• Develop an innovative high-frequency optical sensor system for trains (trams, metros, TGVs).
• Implement testing procedures and conduct laboratory tests.
• Create a 3D model of the complete solution.
• Ensure compliance with design standards (welding and safety).
• Request quotes and conduct supplier research.
