Alstom is offering a 6-month internship in our high-tech department in Île-de-France. You will evaluate state-of-the-art computer vision approaches and contribute to a demonstrator for the InfraScanner solution, working on 3D reconstruction from images.

You will benchmark Gaussian splatting, photogrammetry and related methods, design a test-bench, analyze accuracy and performance, and document results to support industrial deployment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (Bac+5 / MSc) required.
• Strong background in computer vision, image processing and 3D reconstruction.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ for system development.

Responsabilités

• Assess and benchmark 3D reconstruction solutions from images (Gaussian Splatting, photogrammetry).
• Define theoretical framework for photogrammetry within InfraScanner.
• Design and implement a test-bench for 3D reconstruction from train imagery.
• Analyze reconstruction accuracy, robustness and processing performance.
• Develop workflows and validation procedures for the proposed solution.
• Document results and provide deployment recommendations.
