Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Managing Director to own and grow the R&D domain within France & BeLux Life Sciences. You will advise R&D executives, shape strategy, and lead a France-based team across clinical development and AI-enabled transformations.

You will bring deep clinical development expertise and a track record in pharma/biotech and management consulting, with a global perspective and a startup-style ability to build teams and win engagements.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in clinical development — strategy and operations — across the drug development lifecycle.
• Experience in both the life sciences industry (pharma/biotech) and management consulting.
• Proven track record building C-suite relationships, especially with R&D leadership, and converting them into work.
• Credible fluency in how AI, GenAI, data and digital are reshaping R&D, and ability to shape and sell technology-enabled R&D transformation.
• A global perspective, with experience operating across markets.
• Experience building and leading teams with an entrepreneurial, build-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Advise at the top table by building trusted relationships with R&D leadership and advising on strategy, operating model, and transformation.
• Apply deep knowledge of the drug development lifecycle to client problems across development strategy, trial design and operations, regulatory interface, and operating models.
• Shape and localise AI- and technology-enabled R&D propositions, moving from pilots to production across the R&D value chain.
• Build pipeline, shape opportunities, and win engagements, owning the commercial outcomes for the domain.
• Act as senior sponsor across programs, ensuring quality and measurable impact.
• Recruit, develop and retain a France-based team, building domain capability and culture.
• Represent Accenture externally through publishing, speaking, and shaping the R&D transformation agenda.
• Collaborate across Accenture's global network to bring full strength of the firm to clients.
