Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products based on information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operations Teams, Development Engineers, or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications, including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality and cost, while meeting customer requirements, and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer needs. They are the key experts in the products they manage at TE.

What your background should look like :

You'll be in charge of the following tasks :

1. Design and develop new products to meet Customer requirements from RFQ (Request For Quotes) to SOP (Start of Production).
2. Analyze voice of the customer (VOC) requirements and specifications.
3. Develop product design proposals using CAD tools at various development stages: Concept, Design, Development, ensuring quality, cost, and project deadlines.
4. Apply design verification tools such as worst-case tolerances calculation and mechanical simulation.
5. Define DV (Design Validation) and PV (Product Validation) test plans.
6. Design prototype parts, CAD models, and drawings; oversee rapid prototyping and pilot manufacturing.
7. Participate in product FMEA and design reviews.
8. Serve as the technical interface for internal and external production sites (suppliers).
9. Act as the technical interface with customers.
10. Prepare technical documents for product design (3D models, drawings, specifications).
11. Follow up on product testing, validation, and qualification.
12. Analyze dimensional reports.
13. Provide production release and support PPAP submission processes.
14. Collaborate extensively across departments and with external partners to ensure project alignment with goals.

What your background should look like :

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, specializing in Product Design.
• Deep knowledge of plastics materials, injection molding, tool design, and part design.
• Proficiency with CAD software: CREO preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T standards, DFMEA, DVP, and test plan development.
• Technical background in automotive or related industries.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and verbal.
