Nemera, headquartered in Lyon, is seeking an experienced R&D Process Excellence Engineer to drive continuous improvement across development workflows. Based at the Lyon HQ, you will lead cross-functional teams, shape design methodologies, and ensure adherence to GMP and quality standards.

You will report to the R&D and Capabilities Director and play a pivotal role in transforming development processes to deliver innovative drug delivery solutions.

Qualifications

  • Technical background in product design and development.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in detailed design and development of complex products.
  • Experience in continuous improvement within an innovation and development environment.
  • Knowledge of design and development for mass production products, including machinery and plastic injection.

Responsabilités

  • Lead cross-functional groups to define and implement continuous improvements in development processes and design methodologies.
  • Analyze existing development activities and tools to enhance efficiency, usage and performance.
  • Support project teams in implementing development processes with best practices.
  • Contribute to mapping, standardization and continuous improvement of development workflows and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain standards while driving improvements in development processes.
  • Guide teams in evolving ways of working and adopting new methodologies and procedures.
  • Design and deliver training sessions and support change management initiatives.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of process application through audits, design reviews and performance assessments.
  • Participate in project reviews to provide expertise and ensure process compliance and efficiency.
  • Facilitate SME-related topics to ensure knowledge sharing and alignment.
  • Ensure application and enforcement of procedures related to quality, environment, health & safety, confidentiality and GMPs.

Job Description

To support our continued growth, we are currently looking for passionate people ready to make a difference in the following open position:R&D Process Excellence Engineer F/M/X (Development Improvement Engineer).

We are looking for a highly experienced and influential leader to take on a key role at the heart of our R&D transformation, driving continuous improvement and process excellence while shaping the way we develop tomorrow’s innovative drug delivery solutions.

This position isbased in our Headquarters based in Lyon (7e) and reports to the R&D and Capabilities Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead cross-functional working groups to define and implement continuous improvements in development processes and design methodologies.
  • Analyze existing development activities and tools to enhance their efficiency, usage, and overall performance.
  • Supportproject teams in the effective implementation of development processes, ensuring alignment with best practices.

  • Participate in project reviews to provide expertise and ensure process compliance and efficiency.
  • Facilitate and follow up on SME-related topics to ensure knowledge sharing and alignment.
  • Ensure the application and enforcement of procedures related to quality, environment, health & safety, confidentiality, and good manufacturing practices.
Qualifications

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Technical background in product design and development.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in detailed design and development of complex products and in leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience in continuous improvement within an innovation and development environment.
  • Knowledge of design and development for mass production products, including machinery and plastic injection.

SKILLS

  • Broad understanding of the product development process across various verticals.
  • Ability to understand constraints and priorities of different SMEs, and to unite teams toward optimal compromises without imposing personal views.
  • Capacity to maintain focus on the overall picture and objectives without getting lost in details.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English: able to explain concepts, lead training sessions, synthesize and rephrase ideas, and write instructions, procedures, and training materials.
  • Lean mindset: challenge the status quo, identify simplification opportunities, and question established habits.
  • Ability to work independently, lead groups, and maintain motivation without external pressure.
  • Leadership, persuasiveness, and effective communication.
