The project aims to investigate the quantum properties of polariton microcavities in semiconductor microstructures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the experimental characterization of these systems using low-temperature (4 K) optical spectroscopy, potentially under high magnetic fields. They will also develop numerical models of the structures to support the interpretation and optimization of the experimental results.
The position will be based at the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N) in Palaiseau, within the research group led by Sylvain Ravets and Jacqueline Bloch. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team working on quantum polaritonics, with regular interactions with nanofabrication (cleanroom) and theory teams.
The laboratory is equipped with liquid-helium cryostats, high-resolution spectrometers, laser sources, and superconducting magnets providing magnetic fields of up to 7 T.
This position is located in a sector subject to the Protection of Scientific and Technical Potential (PPST) regulations. In accordance with applicable regulations, the successful candidate's appointment is therefore subject to authorization by the competent authority of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
