Job summary

Quobly in Grenoble seeks a Senior Quantum Researcher to turn breakthroughs into scalable quantum technologies. You will generate ideas, open new avenues, and renew understanding of spin qubits, simulation and measurement for large-scale processors.

You will collaborate with leading researchers, publish findings, and help shape the company’s innovation roadmap while enjoying a collaborative culture in the French Alps.

Qualifications

• PhD in quantum physics, condensed matter or related disciplines.
• 5 years’ experience in research on spin qubits, measurement, control, simulation or calibration.
• Ability to translate abstract concepts into concrete simulations.

Responsibilities

• Imagine, develop and implement original concepts to improve reliability, robustness and efficiency of quantum manipulation and measurement.
• Propose new calibration, optimization and testing approaches for spin qubits.
• Understand spin qubit challenges and work with quantum models and CMOS concepts.
• Explore directions for manipulation, simulation or measurement of spin qubits for large-scale processors.
• Create academic partnerships to fuel thinking and publish findings.
• Contribute to the scientific and innovation roadmap through active discussions.

Your main mission will be to generate new ideas, open up new avenues and renew our understanding of quantum simulation or measurement with a view to creating more powerful large-scale quantum processors.

Technical Challenges

• Imagine, develop and implement original concepts to improve the reliability, robustness and efficiency of quantum manipulation and measurement.
• Propose new approaches to calibration, optimization and testing for spin qubits.
• Understand the challenges surrounding spin qubits and be open to interacting at the level of quantum models and CMOS concepts applied to spin qubits
• Explore new directions for the manipulation, simulation or measurement of interesting spin qubits with a view to large-scale quantum processors
• Create academic partnerships with research teams to fuel your thinking and produce scientific publications
• Actively participate in internal scientific discussions by contributing ideas to the scientific and innovation roadmap

You Are Special Because

• PhD holder in quantum physics, condensed matter or related disciplines
• 5 years’ experience in research on spin qubits, measurement, control, simulation or calibration
• In-depth knowledge of qubit manipulation (preferably spin qubits)
• You can move from abstraction to concrete simulations
