Job summary

Alice & Bob in Aubervilliers is seeking a mid-level Electronics Integration Engineer to join the HERMES team. You will design and integrate robust electronics systems, including custom PCBs and cryostat components, and ensure scalable, production-ready setups.

You will collaborate with physicists, RF and mechanical engineers, own cable harnessing, troubleshoot boards, validate equipment, and drive hardware architectures from lab to field installations.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electronics or related field.
• 3+ years in electronics and system integration in demanding environments.
• System-level mindset integrating electronics with mechanical constraints.
• Hands-on with cable harnessing and system integration.
• Soldering, debugging, assembling and repairing electronics.
• Lab instrumentation: oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• PCB design experience (KiCad/Altium).
• Exposure to RF systems; not need to be RF expert.
• Python or similar for automating tests.
• Strong supplier and partner communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate robust electronics systems for quantum computing set-ups, including custom PCBs and cryostat sub-parts.
• Integrate equipment into cryostats, manage cable harnessing across instruments, and scale installations.
• Diagnose and repair electronic boards/equipment, decide repair vs supplier return.
• Validate and verify commercial equipment, run tests to ensure signals meet needs.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers; monitor state-of-the-art instrumentation.
• Collaborate with physicists, RF and mechanical engineers to define hardware architectures.
