Résumé du poste

CNRS in France invites applications for the Junior Professorship Chair QSAM to advance theoretical and numerical quantum dynamics, including ultrafast processes and light–matter interactions. The chair will unite theorists and computational scientists across institutes and align with the Laser4U network.

The role emphasizes open science, dissemination through publications and software, and collaboration with partners to strengthen positioning in the field.

Qualifications

  • Holders of a doctorate or a PhD or equivalent degree or applicants who have gained scientific.
  • There is no restriction on the age or nationality of applicants. All CNRS positions are accessible to people with disabilities, with special arrangements for tests made necessary by the nature of the disability.

Responsabilités

  • The chairholder will strengthen theoretical and numerical research on the dynamics of complex quantum systems, in particular quantum dynamics and the control of quantum processes via light-matter interactions.
  • It aims to foster theory–experiment dialogue and develop methodologies using machine learning, tensor networks, and hybrid approaches with physical constraints.
  • Candidates must propose a teaching project (28 hours of lectures or 42 hours of tutorials/practical sessions) related to the chair themes.
