Job Description

QUALITY TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Quality Technician for a company based in Vance, AL. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for providing support to the Project Manager by inspecting and validating rework performed by the automotive technicians. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our rework campaigns, ensuring all work completed aligns with OEM specifications and industry standards. This is a 60 hour a week temporary position, high-responsibility role in a productive environment.

Pay Rate
$20.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Quality Technician Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough inspections of completed mechanical rework, including wiring harnesses, drivetrain components, suspension systems, and vehicle electronics.
  2. Verify that all repairs and modifications are executed in compliance with technical service bulletins, engineering drawings, and rework work instructions.
  3. Document inspection results accurately, noting any deviations, missing components, or workmanship issues.
  4. Assist in the development and refinement of quality inspection checklists and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  5. Escalate non-conformances or critical findings to the Project Manager for immediate action.
  6. Collaborate with rework technicians, engineers, and team leads to ensure clear communication and alignment on quality standards.
  7. Participate in continuous improvement efforts and support root cause analysis for recurring defects or quality concerns.
Quality Technician Qualifications and Requirements
  1. 2+ years of experience in automotive quality control, inspection, or repair required.
  2. Strong working knowledge of vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, and structural components.
  3. Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
  4. Proficient with inspection tools and digital reporting platforms (tablets, Excel, etc.).
  5. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  6. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  7. ASE certification or technical training in automotive repair is a plus.
