Within the Quality Department, you will be responsible for the ISO 17025 accredited Quality Control Laboratory at the Combourg site. You will supervise a team of technicians and coordinators, managing both operational and strategic aspects of the laboratory.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing, structuring, and prioritizing the activities of a team of 13 people, primarily performing microbiological identification and quantification based on microbiology prerequisites.
• Ensuring microbiological, physico-chemical, and documentary controls (quality, deadlines, costs).
• Leading investigations on deviations and out-of-specification results.
• Ensuring team safety through risk assessments related to biological agents, chemical safety, ergonomics, and psychosocial risks.
• Driving team performance and development:

• Maintaining quality performance: updating documentation and regulations, ensuring compliance with standards (BPL, regulatory), metrological follow-up of equipment, managing changes, control methods, LIMS, result tracking, investigations, and CAPA.
• Ensuring organizational performance: meeting KPIs, managing CAPEX, and cost optimization projects.

• Collaborating with partner teams (production, supply chain, industrialization, operational quality) to optimize control processes and schedules.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, site progress plans, and innovations.
• Recruiting, developing the team, and anticipating resource needs.

Candidate profile:

• Higher education in microbiology, biochemistry, or industrial quality, with essential microbiological method knowledge (food, pharmaceutical, clinical fields).
• Proven experience in quality or production departments within biotech or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Proficiency in IT tools (SAP, LIMS, Excel) and quality standards relevant to the field.
• Leadership, rigor, organizational skills, and team-building capacity.
• Good command of English is a plus.

This position is based in Combourg (35), with daytime hours from Monday to Friday, and is available immediately.
