Position Title :

Quality Control Technician

Position Overview :

The Quality Control Technician promotes quality awareness and ensures that the quality control process is followed consistently. They support functions such as production and logistics to keep the system up to date and aligned with actual practices. The Quality Control Technician also serves as a backup for the Quality Manager.

Primary Responsibilities :

1. Ensuring all employees comply with H.B. Fuller policies.
2. Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Coordinating the daily activities of the quality control lab.
4. Ensuring safety protocols are respected and good housekeeping is maintained.
5. Ensuring the quality team is adequately qualified and trained.
6. Handling quality control activities related to raw materials, production, and finished goods to meet customer requirements.
7. Collaborating with R&D to improve process control continuously.
8. Analyzing customer complaints, completing reports, providing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
9. Providing internal quality training.
10. Maintaining the quality control lab under 5S principles.
11. Participating in Quality Management System activities.
12. Responding promptly to quality complaints and internal alerts.
13. Reporting in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements :

1. Associate’s degree in chemistry or high school diploma (BACC Chimie) with 5+ years of experience in the adhesive industry.
2. Good written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
3. Rigorous, methodical, and organized.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and make decisions.
6. Qualified Quality Auditor or equivalent experience is an advantage.
7. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 9001:2015; experience with ISO 14001, TS 16949, ISO 22000 is beneficial.

Physical Environment :

This position involves working in a mixed environment of office and factory as needed. It requires flexibility in schedule to ensure presence during busy production times.
