You will be the Quality Assurance Director. Your role is tremendously important for our activity and brand image.

We visited many manufacturing sites to confirm there is indeed something big to do. Now, it’s confirmed that it is ready to grow, and grow big. We are now in the hunt for a world-class quality expert to do it way bigger, way faster, and way better than us as beginners. So we want you to set and drive the Quality strategy in a global fast-paced environment, keeping both our company processes and product quality up to local and international regulation standards.

Day to day will be more or less as follows:

1. As a smart Business Enabler, you use Quality to build business momentum,
2. Ensure our products meet local and international safety and HACCP standards,
3. Liaise with PM / R&D teams to launch new products efficiently and agilely,
4. Stay updated on local and international laws & regulations to identify new business opportunities,
5. Maintain our compliance with audits and certifications (FSSC2200, Bio, Halal, Kosher),
6. Develop, manage, and monitor Quality & business-related KPIs,
7. Handle Authorities Quality topics and Crisis Management effectively,
8. Utilize all available resources (including AI) to develop and continuously improve a premium Quality management system,
9. Train and develop the team to foster a strong 'Quality Culture' to reduce Non-Compliance and customer claims,
10. Develop partnerships and negotiate contracts with third-party laboratories,
11. Build and develop a high-performing team to prepare Hubcycle for scaling.

The team around you:

You will develop and manage your team, initially supported by the current team members, including the Continuous Improvement Manager and Quality Coordinators. You will be guided by our C-level team, including the CEO. Your reporting line will be directly to the COO, with the CEO available for technical support. You will also collaborate closely with the Head of Sourcing & Head of Sales to address sourcing and sales-specific challenges.

Skills needed:

We seek someone with both short & long-term impact potential, adaptable to a startup environment, eager to learn, and able to advise on growth strategies.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Food Quality is required.
• Proven ability to act as a 'Gatekeeper' and 'Business Enabler', with agility and boldness.
• Expertise in French, European, and international Quality regulations, capable of owning the department and making proactive decisions.
• Agile mindset with the ability to balance hands-on work and strategic oversight, leveraging new technologies.
• Ability to utilize legacy knowledge to build innovative Quality models in disruptive environments.
• Calm under pressure, with strong decision-making skills.
• Leadership and excellent communication skills, with experience managing teams of 5-10, including remote members.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Conditions:

The hiring process:

1. Initial 30-minute meeting: Discuss background, experience, motivation.
2. Second 60-minute meeting: Deep dive questions & scorecard.
3. Third 60-minute meeting: Management team interview.
4. Final meeting: On-site with team, including café and chouxquettes.
