Magellium is seeking a GIS application developer based in the Paris area to work on engaging projects for energy sector clients. You will design and build tools for creating, analyzing, and exploiting geographic data related to energy networks.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in geomatics or computer science and at least 3 years of GIS development experience, with strong Python and PyQGIS skills. Join a team of GIS and software professionals committed to open-source geomatics.

• Proficient in Python; strong experience with QGIS and PyQGIS is preferred.

Responsabilités

Description du poste

Based at our Paris office and as part of a project team made up of developers and GIS experts, you will work on engaging GIS projects for clients who are major players in the energy sector.

You will contribute to the design and development of innovative tools for the use, analysis, and exploitation of geographic data related to energy networks.

Your main responsibilities:

• Python
• QGIS / QT/ PyQGIS
• ArcPy
• Git / GitLab
• REST API

Profile required

You hold a master's degree (Bac+5) in geomatics or computer science from an engineering school or university and have at least 3 years of experience in GIS application development.

You are proficient in Python and, ideally, have significant experience in development using QGIS and PyQGIS.

You are known for:

• Your technical precision;
• Your analytical skills;
• Your ability to work well with others;
• Your interest in open-source technologies and geomatics.

Knowledge of issues related to utility networks (energy, water, telecommunications) is a plus.
