Magellium Artal Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead a ground segment project for an Earth Observation satellite constellation program. You will oversee requirements, planning, execution, costs, risks, and deadlines, coordinating with internal teams and industrial partners while managing client relations.

You will contribute to tender responses and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards, drawing on experience in space ground systems and strong English communication.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree and proven experience managing complex projects.
  • Experience in space or defense projects is highly valued.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with calls for tenders in industrial or institutional contexts.
  • Excellent communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a team and with end customers.
  • Independence and responsibility; manage conflicts in demanding environments.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.

About Magellium Artal Group

Magellium Artal Group, with its 300 employees, is an independent company specializing in the remote sensing data value chain (from satellite or drone sensors to their use in Earth observation systems and services, mapping, and geointelligence) that promotes expertise in space technologies, software, image and signal processing, and geomatics.

As part of its Earth Observation activities, Magellium participates in major programs led by space agencies or operational organizations. These Earth Observation projects involve, in particular,scientific data processing chains for satellite payloads.

The position

Recently selected by CNES as part of the France 2030 plan alongside Loft Orbital, the Ground Segment team is looking for a project manager to lead anEarth observationground segmentproject.

The MS-HR program aims to provide France with an unprecedented Earth observation capability through a constellation of 10 satellites that deliver multispectral imagery with a high revisit rate.

You will be responsible for developing the ground segment of a new Earth observation satellite constellation program.

Reporting to the Ground Segment Division of our “Earth Observation” Unit, your main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Manage all phases of the project: defining requirements, planning, execution, monitoring costs, risks, and deadlines.
  • Ensure coordination between the various internal teams and industrial partners.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and represent Magellium in connection with your project.
  • Ensure that the project complies with technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to responses to calls for tenders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project processes and the sharing of best practices.

Profile required

With a degree in engineering, you have proven experience managing complex projects, ideally in the space or defense sector . Experience in the field of space ground segments would be highly valued.

  • Proficiency inproject management processes and methods(planning, reporting, risk management, budget monitoring).
  • Experience or strong interest in participating incalls for tendersin an industrial or institutional context.
  • Good command ofEnglish, both written and spoken.
  • Excellentcommunication and coordination skillswith multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability towork as part of a team andinteract withend customers.
  • Independence, sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment and manage conflicts.

Additional advantages

  • Good knowledge ofground systems for Earth observation satellites(data acquisition, processing, archiving, and dissemination chains).
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
