Are you great with numbers and enjoy helping teams make smart decisions? We're looking for a Purchasing Controller to join our global operations team. In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for understanding how and where the company spends money — from direct materials and indirect purchases to shipping and freight. You'll work closely with our top leaders to help improve performance, make better financial decisions, and manage costs around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the business informed : Create monthly reports to explain how our purchasing is performing, where we’re saving money, and what needs improvement.
- Support decision-making : Help senior leaders understand the financial impact of purchasing decisions and suggest ways to boost performance.
- Track spending and savings : Monitor key areas like supplier payments, direct and indirect purchases, transport costs, and capital investments.
- Lead planning and budgeting : Play a key role in setting the budget and helping plan for the next 3 years.
- Improve systems and tools : Suggest and implement better tools or processes (like Anaplan) to make reporting easier and more accurate.
- Work across teams : Collaborate with departments like Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Accounting, and external consultants to keep everything running smoothly.
- Support strategic purchasing projects , offering insights for supplier negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
What We’re Looking For
- Finance or controlling experience , ideally with purchasing or supply chain exposure.
- Strong communication skills – you’re confident working with senior leaders and explaining numbers in a simple, useful way.
- Good with tools – experience with Microsoft AX, Anaplan, and TM1 (or similar tools) is helpful.
- Team player – you enjoy working with others and can build strong partnerships across departments.
- Hands-on with accounting – you understand how things flow through the books and know when to raise flags.
- Management experience – you’ve led at least one person and know how to coach and support a team.
- International experience – you're comfortable working in English and across different cultures and countries.
- You’re proactive and reliable – you take ownership of your work, suggest improvements, and follow through.
