The Prospect Management Analyst will report to the Director of Prospect Management and serve as a key member of the Prospect Development (PD) team within the office of University Advancement. The incumbent will be a leading contributor in aligning and leveraging data from the department’s internal reporting systems (Cognos and Salesforce), our department database (Banner), as well as online and third-party resources in support of our fundraising initiatives with emphasis on day-to-day prospect management efforts. The Prospect Management Analyst will provide ongoing data analysis, strategic highlights to assist with portfolio and pipeline curation, realignment and optimization while using creative methods to illustrate recommendations and/or results. The incumbent will bring a high degree of professionalism to facilitate the achievement of University Advancement goals and have a willingness to be a contributing member of the Villanova Community.

- Assist in facilitating automated requests submitted by frontline team members and/or UA staff at large via the Request for Prospect Management Form and help ensure information is delivered to our customers in a timely manner.
- Facilitate timely prospect management related data entry including but not limited to, stage updates, assignment changes and other prospect related coding.
- Assist in facilitating portfolio analysis, realignment and new assignment activity that result from both proactive and reactive research identifying prospects with major gift capacity. Develop creative and helpful illustrations when presenting data to assist in driving decision making.
- Provide support for the more than two dozen PM related data audits and engage with officers as needed to ensure data alignment across the PM/ CRM environment.
- Collaborate with the Director and/or Assistant Director of PM, serving as a thought partner and providing data illustrations that assist with outlining strategic recommendations for portfolio optimization for the more than 45 portfolios and various pipelines.
- Analyze portfolio performance and pipeline health to provide region-specific prospect data, identifying geographic areas of opportunity and/or information that will assist us in better aligning officer travel for increased efficiency.
- Work closely with the CRM area to design, update, and maintain dashboards and reports that
support strategic portfolio management, travel planning, and donor engagement. - Facilitate updates and distribution of the PM Guidelines as needed.
- Assist in timely and clear communication about PD initiatives to the appropriate audiences within University Advancement and across campus via Teams and/or Outlook.
- Provide support to the Director of PM for portfolio review meetings as well as frontline strategy meetings.
- Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned by supervisor and/or other leadership.
- Stay current on practices and trends in PM and participate in industry related professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Three or more years of relevant experience required, preferably in prospect management.
- Ability to understand data outliers and deliver analysis which guides decision making.
- Knowledge of Development industry standards with an emphasis on the area of Prospect Management, as well as University structure, policies, and practices.
- Knowledge of Villanova’s Augustinian community and mission.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively and to communicate results in a
timely and accurate manner. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and
analytical/critical thinking skills. - Proficiency in working with relational databases and online and interactive Web-based resources. Knowledge of existing and emerging prospect
development resources, with emphasis on data visualization tools to develop clear, compelling, and actionable reports that support fundraising strategy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous higher education or nonprofit experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using tools that assist with data illustration, such as Excel and PowerPoint are a plus; experience with the integrated software suite, BANNER , and CRM , Salesforce is a plus.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: A willingness and ability to provide staff support at select special events which may take place during evenings and/or weekends. The willingness and ability to commute across campus as needed when attending work related meetings. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate’s qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
